HEPATITIS PANEL

Definition

A hepatitis panel is a group of blood tests that detect viral hepatitis markers (antigens, antibodies) and help distinguish active infection from immunity or past exposure. Panels often include tests for hepatitis A, B, and C, and are interpreted with liver enzymes and imaging. In Underwriting, panel results guide risk assessment, follow-up requirements, and eligibility for preferred classes after successful treatment or verified immunity.

Common Usage

Carriers order hepatitis panels with liver enzymes when history suggests risk. Advisors explain results and coordinate follow-up testing to document stability and eligibility.
